Lagermax takes over Ambach Entsorgung

Lagermax continues its growth strategy ++ Europe-wide trade in secondary raw materials ++ Expansion of existing logistics infrastructure in the area of green logistics ++

Salzburg, July 16, 2024: Lagermax Green Logistics GmbH, a subsidiary of the Lagermax Group, took over Ambach Entsorgung GmbH in July 2024. The company is thus expanding its "Green Logistics" division and strengthening its market development for circular economy and recycling solutions in the domestic and international markets.

Ambach Entsorgung GmbH, based in Pichl bei Wels in Upper Austria, offers reliable waste disposal concepts aimed at manufacturing companies. "With this partnership-based takeover, we are consistently pursuing our growth strategy. Ambach is a future-oriented company in the field of sustainability and waste disposal solutions and enables Lagermax to trade in secondary raw materials throughout Europe," explains Thomas Baumgartner, CEO of the Lagermax Group. The previous owner Dieter Ambach will remain with the company as Managing Director and will continue to run the business together with the new Managing Director Roland Amtmann and the existing local team. The existing logistics infrastructure in the Lagermax Green Logistics division will thus be further expanded.

Recyclables trading - waste as the raw material of tomorrow

Founded in 2002, Ambach Entsorgung GmbH in Pichl has 15,000 sqm of storage space (2,500 sqm of which is covered) and excellent transport connections in the heart of Upper Austria. The company has an outstanding international network and its service portfolio ranges from trading in waste paper to plastics and commercial waste. Over 30,000 tons of recyclable materials are recycled nationally and internationally every year.

After Lagermax Green Logistics GmbH acquired a stake in the German battery logistics company LogBATT GmbH last year and the Styrian subsidiary FRIKUS has been successfully handling transport and logistics concepts in the waste and recycling sector for a long time, Lagermax is once again expanding its service portfolio with this takeover.

The Lagermax Green Logistics division is coming a step closer to responding to the growing demand for long-term environmental and sustainability solutions, a high recycling rate and a contribution to achieving climate targets.
